short feature on the way Indian Catholics celebrate and venerate
Mother Mary in Vailankanni in Tamil Nadu, South India as the Lady
of Good Health. The massive Christian and non-Christian following
undertake long pilgrimages by foot, many bringing heavily adorned
and decorated chariots with them. The festival climax consists
of a circumbulating procession of chariots from the church across
the sea front and back.

The charm of a god
who is more human than godly is depicted through Krishna in his
form of lover. The characterisation is analysed by making comparisons
with modern attitudes towards love.

travelogue video film recording a group of folk artists participating
in a new culture campaign. For four weeks, artists from all parts
of India travelled to one specific region and performed there.
This film records their movement in the lower Himalayan region,
which is least exposed to the rest of India.
